On my way to Shanghai
I am now on my way to Shanghai, sitting in the Seattle airport. I will be posting blogs on my life in Shanghai on another website I have dedicated to that:
. Please see my most recent entry there.
Two weeks 'til China...
In two weeks from tomorrow I will be getting on a plane to go back to China. It was also one year ago tomorrow that I left China, being over a year since I was there...the longest I've been away from China since I first went in June 2002 to travel. The other longest time I've been away from China was 2007-2008, where I was in Scotland the first time and away from China for 10 1/2 months. It will be good to get back to China and become refamiliar with the way of life there which I do love for some odd reason.
My month before New Year's resolution
My month-before-New Years resolution is to be more active in my blog posting, now that I've successfully gotten more adapt to setting up websites using Drupal CMS (if you don't know what that is, or want to know more, feel free to contact me...I love giving help and tips).
It's been a long two years....
As many of my friends and family members know, I have, after living in China almost 5 years, been getting a 2-years masters from University of Edinburgh in Scotland, and as of the end of last month, I am through! It feels good to be done. Now I am back in Boise, Idaho for a month or so before heading onto my life back in China, and finding a job there.
Welcome to Rich Mahn's Website
Many of you probably have tried to visit richmahn.com, the domain name of my official email address, to find it in ruins or not even existing. This is due to many reasons: One, I never could get satisfied with a particular content manager for web pages, as I went from Typo3 to Joomla, to Wordpress, and then now finding Drupal a very good content manager; second, I have been living in Bonnie Scotland for 2 years getting my masters degree in Chinese studies, so been busy with that, and just two weeks ago (24 August, 2009) handed the bloody thing in. Now I hope to keep a website going for my life back in China. Hope you read it, come often, and contribute as well!
